Joyce Stegner

Joyce Stegner, 83, of Tunkhannock passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Nanticoke. She is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Maurice Stegner in 1994.

Born on September 3, 1940 in Newark, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes (Healey) Alexander.

Joyce was a graduate of Belleville High School in New Jersey.

She had a passion for knitting, creating beautiful pieces with love and care. She also had a profound love for poetry, even creating her own verses.

She was a devoted member of Grace Fellowship Church and lived her life guided by her strong faith.

She is survived by daughter, Kathryn Evans and husband Larry, Heather Stegner; son, Timothy Stegner and wife Sarah; siblings, Bruce, William, John, Rita, Donna, Maureen; grandchildren, Anderson and Graham Stegner, Jalill Weaver.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Mark Stegner; sister, Helen Semos.

Family and friends are invited to attend Joyce's Graveside Service which will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 712 Grove St., Montclair, NJ 07043.
