Aldon Hubert White

Aldon Hubert White, Scott Township, died Sunday at Gino Merli. He was the widower of Dawn Rebecca White, who died in 2022. They were married on February 6, 1954.

Born in Scott Township, Pa, he was the son of the late George and Gertrude Thomas White.  Aldon was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in Korea. He was a member of the Black Walnut American Legion Number 510, Laceyville. Prior to retirement, he was a Machinist for Chamberlin Manufacturing Corporation. He was a Mentor for Hunts for Healing and enjoyed teaching hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Mount Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Guman, and her husband David of Jessup; two sons, Gary and his wife Sharon of Valparaiso, Florida, and Larry and his wife Sonya of Wyalusing; grandchildren David Guman, Jr., Amy Musick, and Brandon Legere; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Rev. Donald Hasselman. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment with full military honors will follow at Mt. Bethel Cemetery, Scott Township.
