Allen R. Kresge

Allen R. Kresge, 64, of Newton Twp. passed away Friday. Born in LaGrange, IN, he was the son of Tona Edwards Kresge and the late Frank Kresge.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoor enthusiast, and a lover of animals.   He had a unique talent for writing poetry that was heartfelt by everyone and had a natural ability as an artist.

Allen Served in the United States Marine Corps and worked at Tobyhanna Army Depot.

Surviving are daughters Brianna Kresge, Old Forge and Melissa Graff, Scranton; grandchildren Quincy and Lylah; brothers John and wife Alice, Clarks Summit; Dave and wife Jane, CT; sister Debbie and husband Joseph Molinaro, Dalton; dear friend Kerstin, Dalton; and his many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Vaneta Shackel, Rusty Edwards, Jamin Deal, Bill Whitford, Don Edwards, Larry Edwards, Scott Edwards, Mary Lou Grimes, Arnold Edwards and Darl Edwards.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Pastor Marianne Meyer. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton. Please drive around the back side of the cemetery.
