Anastasia Stage, 81, of Lake Winola died Aug. 17 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Martin Stage, Jr.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Spyros and Arlene (Packard) Patsakos. She moved to Glendale when she was 14 years old and attended Falls-Overfield School. Anastasia worked in many of the local Dress Factories and ran her own alteration business located in Lake Winola. She attended the Lake Winola United Methodist Church.
She was loved by all who knew her as she had a quick smile that would always make you feel at home. With thanks to all of her caregivers; and a special thank you to Kathy, Michele and Danielle as well as everyone from Hospice of the Sacred Heart who made her journey as comfortable as possible.
She was preceded in death by her infant son Robert, son Walter Jeffery, brother Robert, and sister Patrica.
Surviving are a daughter, Arlene Fritsch and husband Jim, Mill City; a daughter-in-law Gail Stage, Mill City; sisters Marysa Archambeault, Factoryville; Lois Scott, Saylorsburg; grandchildren, Lisa Andrejack and husband Mike; Michelle Butash and husband Jeff; Jeff Stage and wife Heather; great-grandchildren, Samantha Andrejack, Mason and Ava Butash, Brett, Lucas and Blake Stage. Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 20th from the Lake Winola United Methodist Church Interment at the Greenwood Cemetery, Glendale.
