Ann Weeks

Ann S. Weeks, 86, of Tunkhannock passed away and was Promoted to Glory on Monday December 5, 2022 at Guardian Healthcare, Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend C. Emory Weeks in 2005.

Born in Troy, NY on December 17, 1935 she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Martin Bass.

She was a 1954 graduate of Troy High School. Ann was an excellent seamstress, sewing and doing alterations for many local families, and spent hours making pillows, skirts and blankets for the Samaritan's Purse shoebox ministry. Ann loved music, jigsaw puzzles, and in later years, walking the aisles at our local Walmart. She always had a smile and friendly word for everyone she met.

Ann faithfully served by her husband's side in their ministries in Warrensburg, Indian Lake and Troy NY and then served until retirement, at Tunkhannock Baptist Church. She served in many capacities including Choir Director, Ladies Bible Study Teacher and in many children's programs. Outside of the church, she worked for several years as a teacher's aide at the local Elementary School and greatly enjoyed her role as "Bag Lady" at Gable's Bakery in Tunkhannock.

She is survived by her son, Phillip Weeks; daughters, Marianne D'Allaird and husband John and Lori King and husband Roy; brother, James (Criss) Bass; step-brother, Leo (Sue) Creagan; grandchildren, Melodee (Dave) Drake, Sonny (Alex) Weeks, Jonathan (Allison) King and Jeffrey (Brianna) King; six great-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter on the way and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her step father, Leo Creagan, Sr. and sister, Marion Ralston.

Family and friends are invited to attend Ann's funeral service which will be held on Friday December 9, 2022 at 7:00 pm from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Rev. Joseph Billingsley presiding.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until the time of service on Friday.

Interment will be held privately at Sandy Banks Cemetery.
