Ann Zackarias

Ann Zackarias, 93, of Tunkhannock passed away on Saturday, March 18,2023 at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward Zackarias

Born in Pittston on November 20, 1929. Ann was the daughter of the late George and Sophie Franck Kukucka.

She was a 1947 graduate of Jenkins High School. She was employed at Rowker Dress Factory for many years belonging to the ILGWU. Ann was also a member of Nativity BVM and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening and reading in her spare time. She loved cooking and baking with her sisters sharing the special family recipes with the younger generation of the family. She loved vacationing with family and friends. Ann was a sweet, caring and loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by son, Edward Zackarias and wife Robin Harvey; granddaughter, Taylor; many nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by sisters, Sophie Pechalonis, Sue Grenier, Mary Kukucka; brothers, John Kukucka, George Kukuchka, and Andrew Kukucka.

Family and friends are invited to attend Ann's Mass of Christian Burial which will be offered on Thursday, March 23,2023 at 12:00 PM from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church 99 E. Tioga Street Tunkhannock, PA 18657 to be celebrated by Reverend Patrick Albert. Interment will follow in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 AM on Thursday from Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Nativity BVM, Tunkhannock or the donor's choice.
