Anna Balavage

Anna Balavage 82, of Vernon, passed into eternity with the Lord at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre Pa. on Monday, January 6, 2014. Anna was born in Wilkes-Barre on March 4, 1931 daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Bendus Detsick. She enjoyed going to Disney World and road trips to anywhere. Anna was an avid crafter and enjoyed life to the fullest. Preceding her in death was her husband Albert Balavage and beloved service dog Juneau. Surviving are daughters Marcella “Marcy” Balavage her care giver, Mary Ann Balavage both of Tunkhannock, sister Alice Hickling of Chenango Forks, NY. and several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 10 am at the Church of the Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock. Interment will be in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the Church from 9 am until the time of service. Arrangements entrusted to the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock.
