Anthony Kalmanowicz, 85, of Sweet Valley passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at home. He is preceded in death by first wife, Margaret Pasquariello in 1998 and second wife, BeBe Ann Atiyeh in 2022.

Born on June 25, 1938 in Dupont, he is the son of the late Anthony and Frances (Ritzie) Kalmanowicz.

He was a graduate of St. John's High School in Pittston. He attended Nativity BVM Church, Tunkhannock.

After completing high school, Anthony embarked on a new chapter of his life, joining the United States Marine Corps in 1956.

During his seven years of service to his country, Anthony displayed unwavering dedication and admirable courage. His time in the Marine Corps helped shape him into the compassionate and disciplined person he would become.

Anthony's love for travel took him far and wide. He enjoyed exploring new places near and far, immersing himself in different cultures and experiences along the way.

In addition to traveling, Anthony found enjoyment and fulfillment in spending time outdoors. Whether it was tending to his beloved yard or embarking on camping adventures with friends and loved ones, he embraced nature wholeheartedly.

Anthony had an unwavering bond with his loyal companion, George - his beloved dog who stood by him through thick and thin. Anthony's heart was always filled with love and compassion for George.

He is survived by his sons, Paul Kalmanowicz and wife Schelly, Kevin Kalmanowicz and wife Kimberly; daughters, Kristine Shubert and husband Joe, Karolyne Myers and husband Tim; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Justine Scholnas, Frances Marlone Mollusky; brother Christopher Kalmanowicz.

He is preceded in death by his son, Anthony Scott Kalmanowicz; grandson, Anthony Jason Kalmanowicz; brother, Andrew Adam Kalmanowicz.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
