Arlin Demming, 89, of Scott Township died Friday. He was the son of the late Elwood and Helen Demming. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Wilma Demming, son Gregory and daughter-in-law Debra, and daughter Brenda and son-in-law Neil; two granddaughters, Bria and husband Steve Tizzoni, and Britt Demming; two grandsons, Neil and wife Nicole, and Shawn Alitieri; and two great grandsons, Spencer and Bryce Tizzoni.
In addition, Arlin is survived by two sisters, Sharon Webb and Linda and her husband Peter Magnot; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was pre deceased by his brother, Elwood Demming, and two sisters, Lois Miller and Shirley Herbert.
He was a member of Local 542 Operating Engineers for over 60 years and a lifetime member of Justice Fire Department. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Arlin was a jolly, fun-loving jokester who loved to tease. He will always be remembered for his kindness, good nature, and love of joke telling. He was a man of strong faith who loved his family and pets and who loved to make people laugh and smile.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Rev. Donald Hasselman. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interment will be at Stone Cemetery, Scott Township.
