Audrey Hyde Lockhart

Audrey Hyde Lockhart, 84, of Dallas passed away on February 24th at Celtic Hospice Wilkes-Barre. Born on 4/22/1932 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Sarah Cleaver Hyde. Audrey was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas, PA. Mrs. Lockhart was active in her church serving as a deacon for several years and as a member on several committees. Mrs. Lockhart faithfully visited shut-ins and hospitalized church members. Mrs. Lockhart was a teacher at Trinity Presbyterian Nursery School prior to her retirement. Mrs. Lockhart also volunteered her time at events for the Kunkle Fire Company for many years.. Audrey was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Donald C. Lockhart, her brothers John, Charles, Kenneth and Roger Hyde, a sister Mary Jane and her son-in-law Kenneth Richards. She is survived by her daughters Sarah (Sally) and husband Jack Dodson of Kunkle, Donna and husband Jay Galletly of St Marys, GA., Kim and husband John Miller of Wyoming, PA and Virginia Richards of Kunkle, her sister Virginia McMillen of Pittsburgh as well as 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Her family would like to gratefully acknowledge the care and compassion shown them and their mother by the staffs of both the Meadows Nursing Center and Celtic Hospice during her time with them. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on April 22nd from the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 105 Irem Rd, Dallas, PA 18612. Funeral services entrusted to the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W.
