Barbara Meyers

Barbara Jean Meyers, 73, of Tunkhannock, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 2, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Barbie was born April 5, 1950, in New York. She is the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth Benson.

She was married to George Meyers for 53 years and was a housewife and homemaker for her family.

She was very artistic and loved making country crafts, she owned and operated BJ's Country Designs for many years from home. She enjoyed trips to Amish country, family vacations and spending time with all the grandkids and great-grandson.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother Kenneth Benson and wife Kim of Maryland, son George Meyers and wife Andrea of Tunkhannock; grandson: Collin Meyers (Blair), daughter Ruth Cook and Darrin Griffin of Tunkhannock; grandsons: Andrew Cook, Timmy Cook (Hannah), great-grandson Colson Cook; Gabriel Cook of Tunkhannock, son Roger Meyers and wife Crystal of Tunkhannock; granddaughters: Winter and Willa Meyers, and many nieces and nephews.

Thank you to Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the wonderful care they provided her.

Funeral services will be privately held.
