Betty Larue

Betty LaRue, Ransom Township, died Wednesday, September 17th.

She was a strong independent woman fast approaching her 95th birthday. Betty loved children and was a foster mom to infants.  She also loved animals and her many jobs included working at Griffin Pond Animal Shelter into her 70's.

Left behind are daughters Shirley and partner Darlene, and Lori and husband Barry; sons John and partner Tina, and Damien and wife Cathy. She also had many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and beloved cats Katie Marie, Nigel, and Gordon.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Duane, son Ricky and his wife Donna, and grandchildren Justin and Ricky.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to Hospice of the Sacred Heart and particularly to Kaitlin, Jen, and Cindy, whose empathy and kindness eased their journey in the loss of Betty.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
