Betty Patricia Loy, 95, of Factoryville passed away on Thursday October 20, 2022, at The Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years R L Loy in 2016.

Born in Philadelphia on January 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Brendlinger Monaghan.

Betty and her husband met in Panama at the Air Force Base where R L served in the Air Force for 20 years and Betty Served in the Woman's Army as a Surgical Technician. After their service to the country, they owned and operated a Maple Syrup Business and Betty and R L drove tractor trailers cross country.

She was well loved and grateful to live a long, wonderful life. Loved to garden, loved to read, loved life well.

Betty is survived by sons, Randall and Richard Loy; daughter, Patrice Trowbridge; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Interment will be held privately at Nicolson Cemetery.

Arrangements and care entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
