Beverly D. Simmers

Beverly D. Simmers 68 of Mehoopany died Thursday September 20 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She is survived by her husband Jack Simmers. Beverly was born on May 8, 1944 daughter of the late Elizabeth Goodwin Day and Samuel Day of Tunkhannock. She was a 1962 graduate of the Tunkhannock Area High School and a member of the Mehoopany United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons Jeff and Troy both of the Mehoopany, brother Robert Day, of Mehoopany, sisters Joyce Huffsmith, of Camptown, and Carol Borgerson, of Tunkhannock, two grandchildren Scott and Cole and two God Children Brent and Tara. Services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mehoopany Fire or Ambulance Company, or the Mehoopany Library.
