Bonnie J. Laird

Bonnie J. Carter Laird, 67, of Dalton, passed away on Sunday morning at Geisinger CMC, Scranton. She was preceded in death in 2017 by William "Bill" Laird, her husband of 40 years.

Born and raised in Moosic, she was the daughter of the late William and Rita Sickler Carter. She was a graduate of Riverside High School and, prior to retirement, worked in various Billing and Accounting positions throughout her career.  Bonnie loved crafts, puzzles and playing Words with Friends. She enjoyed her Friday night dinners out with her friends. She'll always be remembered for her fierce independence and little idiosyncrasies such as her never ending index cards, folding the garbage and her very precise coffee measurements.

She is survived by son Brian and his wife Karen of Camp Hill; daughter in law Michelle of Mechanicsburg, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kaylee, Josh, and Jace Laird; brother Rob Carter and his wife Bobbi Jo; nieces Elise Miller and Alexis Carter; and nephew Robbie Carter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by son Scott Laird, sister Donna Miller, and nephew Ryan Miller.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. A blessing service by Reverend Arbogaste Satoun, pastor of Our Lady of the Abingtons, will be held immediately at 7:00pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
