Bonnie Kay Novajosky, age 84, of Falls Twp, passed peacefully the morning of November 25, 2024.
Bonnie was born in Falls, PA. She was the daughter of the late Emerson and Gladys LaCoe Rosencrance. She was a graduate of Falls Overfield High School.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Ken Novajosky, with whom she built a life filled with love and joy. Also surviving are her son Ken Novajosky and wife Cindy of North Carolina; daughters Bonnie Jo Morin and husband Mike of Iowa, Jennifer Beemer of LaPlume, and Kit Welch and husband Don of Texas; her 9 grandchildren, Christy, Nathan, Brooke, Logan, Lauren, Rachael, Emily, Lyndon and Dustin; and 2 great grandchildren Layna and Jayde.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence "Sonny" Rosencrance, and a sister, Ruth Passeri.
She was very involved in her children's lives with outdoor sports and civic activities including scouts and girl scouts and numerous other social committees. She and Ken were passionate about square dancing in which she held the position of social chair. She opened her heart and family as they were blessed with the opportunity of expanding by fostering several children for a period of five years. Bonnie enjoyed the outdoors and gardening; she took great pride in her lawnscapes and flower gardens. She enjoyed farming, driving tractors, and making hay with her husband during the many years of her retirement.
Bonnie enjoyed baking and cooking for friends and family, especially sharing her baked goods during the holidays. She always made time to celebrate her family's accomplishments and achievements. No matter what the reason or occasion, she just enjoyed traveling to support and spend time with the children and grandchildren.
Bonnie and Ken enjoyed visiting and exploring the Hawaiian Islands, specifically the island of Kauai. She was especially enamored with the culture and abundant beauty of the islands and their people. She enthusiastically awaited going on the half dozen cruises that her and either Ken or Aunt Jean sailed. It was always amazing to watch her take off with dad to go on a car trip adventure somewhere in the United States. We anxiously awaited hearing about their explorations, finds and misadventures, and the excitement and wild times they shared together.
Aside from being a wonderful and supportive spouse, mother, and homemaker, she has held many jobs throughout the years. Two of her most favorable jobs were working at Adrian's BBQ and being a rural mail carrier for the Clarks Summit Post Office. This is where she made many memories and lifelong friends.
Bonnie's family would like to thank Allied Services Hospice and Palliative for their excellent care and compassion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at Church of Saint Benedict, 1849 Newton-Ransom Blvd., Clarks Summit, PA. Friends and family may pay their respects from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
