Brandon James Gardner, 44, of Dalton, peacefully entered eternal rest to be with our Lord on October 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born in Tunkhannock, he was the son of Georgene LaCoe DePrimo and the late Larry Gardner. He worked for many years at N.C. Stauffer and Sons in Factoryville.
Brandon enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, collecting knives and electronic gadgets.
Brandon was always willing to help, no matter the task. You know you could count on him to help and to know how to do it. He helped with roofs, porches, walls, etc. He was a jack of all trades and mastered them all.
Brandon was known for his kindness, sense of humor, devotion to family and friends, and infectious smile. He was generous to a fault and a friend to everyone he met. He would make sure the ones he loved the most were told they were #1 in his book.
Brandon loved life and lived it to the fullest while touching the lives of those who met him.
Also surviving are brother Robert Gardner and wife Mary; stepfather Joseph DePrimo; aunts Lynn Bunch, Ellen Rohan and Joanne Wilson; uncle Ralph Gardner; nephew Tyler Gardner and fiancé Joan; niece Courtney Sands and husband James; great niece and great nephews: Dillon Snyder, Sophia Snyder, Jacob Gardner and Cody Gardner; stepbrother John DePrimo; stepsisters Carmella DePrimo, Geanette DePrimo, Joanne Latona; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents Glenn and Carolyn LaCoe and Lloyd and Edna Gardner; uncle Leland LaCoe; and nephew Brian Snyder.
It broke my heart to lose you and part of me went with you. Rest in heavenly peace, God bless you. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
In keeping with his giving nature, even after death, Brandon helped people. He donated his eyes, so others may see, to Lions World Vision Institute.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses that graciously cared for him throughout his hospital stay. I would love to name them all, but there are too many to mention. He was cared for at Fox-Chase Cancer Center, Lehigh Valley Dickson City, Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenburg, and lastly PAM Health Specialty Hospital, where his favorite CNAs, Dawn and Lori worked. They provided Brandon with everything he needed and helped him tremendously during his time there. We are truly grateful.
