Brittany Leighann Faux, 35, of Dalton passed away on January 11th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Danielle Faux.
Born in Tunkhannock, she was the daughter of Deanna Faux and Keith Anderson. Brittany was a graduate of Elk Lake High School and Lackawanna County Community College. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Geisinger CMC prior to her illness and excelled at her role of caring for others. In addition, she loved animals as much as she loved people and her family joked that she may even open a zoo one day. Brittany was fearless, adventurous, loved thrill rides, and wasn't afraid to try anything once. Her ashes will be spread at the beach, which was her favorite place and where she always felt happy.
In addition to her parents and wife, she is survived by a son, Trenton Faux of Wyalusing; stepfather Ken Finkler; stepmother Shanna Anderson; her "Pops" Donald Smith, Jr.; brothers Zachary Smith, Kyle Anderson, Caleb Anderson, Lance Heeman, Tom Sanfilippo; sisters Ashley Legg, Tori Stasiak, Lyndi Heeman, and Jamie Sanfilippo; grandparents Harry and Cinda Faux; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
