Bruce T. Brunori, 62, of Mechanicsburg passed away Sunday evening in Clarks Summit at the home of his family.
Born in Stroudsburg, he was the son of Joanne Marchese Brunori, Clarks Summit, and the late Ralph T. Brunori. He was an employee of the Pennsylvania State Treasury. Bruce graduated from Abington Heights High School. He was a standout member of the football team and he also played baseball. Bruce completed his undergraduate and master's degrees at Penn State University.
Bruce was a very kind, compassionate and loving person. Affectionately known as "Sweet Lou," he will be sorely missed by family, friends, and co-workers. Bruce enjoyed animals, and especially loved his dogs, Carlie, Vinnie, and Bugsy who were great companions over the years.
Activities that Bruce enjoyed included golf, walking, and playing pool. He also had a great appreciation for the outdoors and spent much time there. Bruce was an avid sports fan and loved Penn State football.
Bruce is survived by his Mother Joanne, his brother Ralph A. Brunori and wife, Jenese, Clarks Summit; his sister Altea Brunori and her husband, Paul Gutekunst, Philadelphia; his niece Chiara Mandel and her husband Alex and Bruce's great niece Isla Mandel, Philadelphia; his nephew Adrian Brunori, Huntington Station, NY; and niece Alessia Brunori, Hoboken, NJ. Also surviving is Bruce's longtime companion Adrienne Connors, Mt. Wolf, PA.
We are extremely appreciative to Dr. Eric Smith, DO and to Christopher Oyede, MD, Cagel Psychiatry, and their staffs for the professional, compassionate, and loving care they provided to Bruce.
