Bruce E. Rogers, 82, of Eaton Township passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dawn Rogers.

Born on September 16, 1940 in Vernon, he is the son of the late Herbert and Frances Rogers.

Bruce accomplished many remarkable feats throughout his life. After graduating from Tunkhannock High School in 1958, he set out to pursue his passion for working with stone. Bruce's exceptional skills and commitment made him a sought-after craftsman in the community.

Bruce's talent extended beyond the confines of his profession. He had an innate love for rocks and they became an integral part of his personality. Whether it was shaping stones into beautiful structures or simply being outdoors marveling at their natural beauty, Bruce found solace and joy in the world of rocks.

His dedication to his craft was further evident by the military service he undertook alongside his best friend, William Faux. Bruce entered into the United States Navy and served in Vietnam on the USS Saratoga. His bravery and unwavering commitment to his country were commendable.

While Bruce's work defined much of his life, he also had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought him happiness outside of work. He loved spending time outdoors, watching birds soaring through the sky and engaging in hunting and fishing activities. These pursuits allowed him to connect with nature on a deeper level and find serenity amidst the wild.

Bruce's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him well. His family recalls him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His kind-hearted nature and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Heather Rogers and fiancé David Badalamente, Jennifer Rogers-Davis and companion Eric King; sons, Matthew Harvey and wife Christina, Timothy Harvey and wife Amy, Joshua Harvey and wife Rita, Thomas Harvey and wife Carissa; brothers, George Rogers and Herbert Rogers; sister, Nancy Seachrist; grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Sean Harvey, Tristan Harvey, Logan Harvey, Dean Harvey, Christian Harvey, Ashton Blight, Issac Harvey; he is also survived by two if his very best fur babies, Missy and Patches.

He is preceded in death by his son, baby boy Rogers; sisters, Joan Ayers, Joysaln Ross, Jean Bell and twin sister, Barbara Crider; and five fur babies, Jeff, Duke, Ladie, Susie, and Daisy.

Bruce leaves behind a legacy of compassion and generosity. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and had a knack for putting others first. His selflessness and caring nature were truly extraordinary.

Family and friends are invited to attend Bruce's funeral service which will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 5:00PM with full military honors from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.

A viewing will be held from 3:00PM until the time of service.
