Cecil "Skip" Heise, 95, of Falls, PA, died July 19th at Willowbrook Place, South Abington Twp, following a lengthy illness.

Born July 11, 1929, he was the son of the late Howard Sr. and Dorothy Bedell Heise and one of six siblings. He attended Falls Overfield school, graduating in 1947, where he played basketball, participated in the chorus, orchestra (violin), and future farmers club. After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force and served for four years during the Cold War. Upon discharge, he apprenticed as a carpenter in Scranton and built housing developments in Wheaton, IL before returning to Scranton where he joined the Carpenters Local 261, working for local builders throughout Pennsylvania on schools, banks, and other industrial projects.

He married Mary Janet Moses in 1968 and built a home for his family in Falls, where they raised three children, Martha, Mark and Mimi. He welcomed their spouses, Bubba, Jessica, and Brian, into the family and was delighted to become a Grandpa to Ashton, Wesley and Greyson. In recent years, he was accompanied by his faithful companion, Tucker.

Skip was a member of the Lake Winola United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, served on the administrative board and as a trustee. He enjoyed time outdoors, was an avid hunter, and a founding member of the Mill City Sportsman's Club. He was also a member and past Master of and primary chicken barbecuer for the Factoryville Masonic Lodge.
