Charles R. Dickinson, 81, of Lake Winola, died Wednesday. His wife of 57 years is the former Shirley Avery.

Born in Glendale, he was the son of the late Glenn and Rena Champlin Dickinson. He was a graduate of Falls-Overfield High School and served in the United States Army Signal Corps in Okinawa during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrician at Procter & Gamble for thirty years, then at Ronco in Lake Winola.

Surviving are daughters Robyn Dickinson and husband Jeffery Charles of Lake Winola and Kristin O'Malley and husband Robert of Clarks Summit; grandchildren Spenser Charles and Quinn, Cecelia, and Brigid "Bridie" O'Malley; brother David of Clarks Summit; and sister Ann Hoxie of Lancaster.

He was preceded in death by brothers Duane and Charles's twin, Norman.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
