Charles Edward Klimas, Jr., 65 of Tunkhannock, passed away February 22, 2013 at Regional Hospital Hospice Care in Scranton after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Crandall Klimas. Ed was born on July 26th, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Charles and Emma Craig Klimas, Sr. He graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 1965. He was employed with Milnes Construction Co., Roy Piper Construction and most recently Herron Lumber. He was a member of Triton Hose Co. No. 1, Tunkhannock. Ed and Nancy celebrated their 33rd anniversary on June 9th, 2012. Together they had two daughters, Stephanie, married to Devin Learn, Lititz & Jessica Klimas, engaged to Beth Kaskel, Andover, NJ. He is also survived by his precious grand-daughter Olivia Klimas Learn. All of his girls were the “love of his life”. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. His family meant the world to him. Ed was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching all sports. Also surviving are his sisters, Laura, Karen (Larry) Russell & Gail (David) Kintner of Tunkhannock. Sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday February 25 at 11:00 AM from the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church with Pastor Peter F. Geschwinder officiating interment will be held in Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock. Friends and Family may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 West Tioga St. Tunkhannock on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
