Christine Martin

Our beloved mother and grandmother Christine Ann (Kuffa) Martin 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, after a short stay at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 9, 1939, to the late Andrew R and Mary (Jurista) Kuffa and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Bernard Paul Martin who passed away on May 6, 2021.

Chris or Chrissy as she was known to family and friends, was the heart and soul of her family, and will be dearly missed. She was involved in every part of their lives, from providing sage advice when necessary to handling the books and records of the family's business endeavors, she was always there for whatever you needed. She was particularly proud of their latest business venture The Barn at Glistening Pond. She also enjoyed working in the yard planting flowers, shopping at flea markets with her husband, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Christine is survived by her three children Bernie Martin Jr. and wife Donalynn of Falls, PA, Denise Smith and husband Rob of Meshoppen, PA, and DJ Martin and wife Donna of Falls, PA. Christine was a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren: Jacqueline and Gabrielle Martin, Caleb and Lucas Smith and Emily Martin. She loved them to visit as often as possible and cherished every moment with them.

In addition to her husband, Christine was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Bernard Kenia. Surviving are her siblings, Thomas Kuffa and wife Sherry of Carlisle, PA; Loretta Kenia of Dalton, PA; Andrew Kuffa and wife Elaine of West Pittston, PA; Charles Kuffa and wife Carol of Lemon, PA; and Richard Kuffa and wife Denise of Lemon, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are invited to attend Christine's Mass of Christian Burial which will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from the Church of the Holy Redeemer, 2435 State Route 92, Falls, PA 18615, to be celebrated by Msgr. John Sempa, pastor. Family and friends are requested to go directly to the church on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 2025, from the Marcho, Sheldon and Kukuchka Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 73 W Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
