Clarence Henning

June 20, 1947 — March 26, 2024

Clarence Wilson "Skip" Henning, 76, of Mehoopany passed into eternity Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 20, 1947, to the late Frank Owen and Naomi Vastine Henning. He was a dairy farmer for many years and then went to work at Procter and Gamble for nearly 20 years.

Skip has been loved deeply and cherished by his family and will be missed. He sacrificed much and loved wholeheartedly in his quiet way. He loved nothing more than a sunny day on his front porch or watching his grandchildren catch fish in the pond. He always had a song in his head and a cookie in his hand. His faith in God carried him through many hardships. His dedication to his family was second to none, and his legacy will be carried on through the memories of his large family. He faced many obstacles throughout his life and never, ever gave up.

He is survived by his wife, Marleah, with their marriage lasting 49 and a half years; children, Naomi Henning of Mehoopany; Melissa (Barrett Hill), of Chantilly, VA; Peter (Catherine) Henning of Corvallis, OR; and Claire (Ryan) Kilker of Tunkhannock; grandchildren, Adam (Sommer) Henning and Emily Henning; Owen and Victoria Hill; Gabriel, Marian and Carys Henning; and Patrick, Denna and James Kilker; sister, Christine Grogan; sister-in-law, Jan Henning; mother-in-law, Marian Miller; several cousins; nephews and nieces.

A gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Parkinson's Foundation at 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 or Rock Steady Boxing at 6847 Hillsdale Court, Indianapolis, IN 46250.

Arrangements and care entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
