Clifford G. Layaou

d. October 17, 2015

Clifford (Cliff) Layaou, 53 of Mehoopany, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home. Born on July 31, 1962 in Meshoppen, he was the son of the late Clifford G. Layaou and Sandra Ayers. Cliff was married to Wendy (Henning) Layaou. Cliff had known his wife since they were children and a chance meeting at an Infinity concert brought them together. They married on her birthday on July 20, 2010. Cliff served in the air force. He was a nurse for 24 years mostly doing hospice care. He then changed his career to over the road truck driving. He loved traveling the country. Cliff owned over 41 jeeps in his life time and shared this love with many friends. He shared his vast knowledge of jeeps, hunting, fishing, music, motorcycles and vehicle repair with his best buddy RATT. His influence of life and his medical issues is what made RATT decide to go to college and study to become a physician assistant. He was her "Pop" and she was "his kid". Cliff was always the comedian & prankster. No one ever walked away from meeting Cliff without a great, funny memory. When the doctors told him they found a mass in his stomach, he said I can’t have a mass doctor, I’m not Catholic. In addition to his wife, Cliff is survived by his step-daughters Kristin (RATT) Herring, Stephanie (Herring) Miller & son-in-law Jeffery Miller, grandson Jeffery Miller Jr. Siblings, Ken & Rose Layaou, Jenneth Layaou, Frank and Jerrianne Layaou. nieces and nephews, Quincey Layaou, Veronica Layaou, Siena Layaou, Meaghan Layaou, Nathan Layaou and Noah Layaou.
