Darla King

Darla Michelle King, 59, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Community Medical Center, Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Melvin King.

Born on July 26, 1965 in Wichita Falls, TX, she is the daughter of the late Harry and Ottis (Wolford) Davis.

Darla was a woman who radiated kindness and had a heart of gold. She also had a deep love for the Lord, which guided her daily life and inspired those around her. She cherished her moments spent engaging in heartfelt conversations and her family and friends were fortunate to experience her daily talks.

Additionally, she had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dog, which brought her much joy.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by brothers, Ed Davis (Joan), Harry Davis, Jr. (Kelly), Denis Davis; sisters, Rose Brewer (Tony), Debbie Davis, Amber Ryan, Deirdre White; goddaughters, Chandre K. White and Crystal Morris; 12 nieces and nephews; 7 great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by brothers, Craig Davis and Egar Davis; brother-in-law, Charles E. White.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family on July 26, 2025.
