David Wood

David Michael Wood, 75, of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday.

David was a graduate of Nottingham High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University. He dedicated many years to coaching wrestling at Endless Mountain Wresting Club and football at Endless Mountain Christian Academy, where he positively impacted the lives of countless young athletes through his leadership and encouragement.

In his free time, David enjoyed working on his beloved 1985 Corvette, a hobby that brought him great satisfaction.

David was predeceased by his son, David M. Wood, in 2008.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Ricci Wood; his son, Kevin (Courtney) Wood; his sister, Janet McKown; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Wood; and many dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Calling hours will be 10am to 11am Thursday at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse, N.Y.
