It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Denise Ann Connors (nee Smith) on March 17, 2025, at the age of 73 in Lenoxville, PA. She was born on November 14, 1951, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to the late Dennis Kingsley Smith and Jeanne Roberts Smith.

Denise was a dedicated dental assistant for many years, providing care and comfort to her patients. She selflessly gave up her career to care for a loved one, a decision that reflected her nurturing spirit and dedication to family. She was also a passionate HAM radio operator, finding joy in connecting with people around the world. Denise had a creative side, exemplified in her knitting and sewing, crafting beautiful pieces. Additionally, her love for cooking shone through in her gourmet meals, which she shared with family and friends, creating memorable moments around the dinner table.

Denise had a special talent for decorating, and she took great pride in making her home warm, beautiful, and inviting. Her love for the holidays was evident in the care and effort she put into decorating for each season, creating a festive atmosphere that was cherished by all who visited. She also had a keen eye for fashion and a love for shopping, often spending time finding just the right items to brighten her life and home.

An avid reader with a deep love for history and biographies, Denise was always eager to learn and explore the stories of the past. Her fascination with history often led her on journeys to historical sites, where she could immerse herself in the rich narratives that shaped our world. Denise also had a profound appreciation for nature, finding peace in the beauty of the outdoors, especially at the beach, where she loved to relax by the water. Upon first visiting, she fell in love with Pennsylvania and often remarked that the scenery was like an oil painting come to life, a sentiment that perfectly captured the way she embraced the world around her. Traveling was another of her passions, and she relished the opportunity to explore new places and cultures.

Denise was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Connors; her devoted partner of 26 years, Russell Hudson; her brother, Dennis W. Smith; her sister, Vicki L. Smith; and her parents, Dennis Kingsley Smith and Jeanne Roberts Smith. She is survived by her beloved son, Michael Connors, of Orange, CA, and three cherished grandsons, Jacob Connors, Cody Congelliere-Connors, and Brandon Congelliere-Connors. Denise is also survived by her sister, Deborah E. Dashiell, and brother-in-law, Scott Dashiell, and her companion of 10 years, J. Jeffrey Stewart. She leaves behind three beloved fur babies: Sassy, Miss Kitty, and Smokey, who will miss her dearly.

Denise will also be remembered by her many friends and family members who were touched by her kindness, her infectious laughter, and her dedication to those she loved.

The family requests that donations be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter in Denise's memory.

Denise's life was one of service, creativity, a love of history, nature, and adventure. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the lives she touched.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit.
