Dennis Wesley Morgan

Dennis Wesley Morgan, Clarks Summit, died at Allied Hospice, Scranton, on Friday morning.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Donald Morgan and Wilda Jean Ace Morgan Shiffer. He was a 1976 graduate of Abington Heights High School and served his country proudly and with distinction for 20 years in the United States Army. Retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant, he served with the 82nd Airborne and Special Forces Green Beret.

Although he was a very forthright person, beneath that gruff exterior Dennis had a very kind and generous heart. He freely gave of his time and resources wherever he saw a need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by an aunt from Falls and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A funeral will be held at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit on Friday at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Milwaukee Cemetery, Ransom Township. Friends may pay their respects from 11 am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
