Diane Petty

Diane Petty, 81, died on Tuesday morning at Green Ridge Care Center. She was the widow of Keith Petty, who died in 2022.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Shirley Barth Ransom. She was a 1962 graduate of Abington Heights High School. Prior to retirement, she was a medical secretary for Dr. Denis Kondash in Clarks Summit. Diane and Keith enjoyed retirement in Florida where they had numerous friends.

Surviving are two sons: Bruce and his wife Deborah of Gouldsboro and their children, Emily, Lillian, Joel, and Mason and their grandchildren Ansley and Brian; and Scott and his wife Devon of LaPlume and their children Darien, Daisy, and Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Featherman.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gardens of Green Ridge.

Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 10 am to 12 noon at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. A private interment will be held at Milwaukee Cemetery, Ransom Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dalton United Methodist Church.
