She attended business school while working in her father's Piano & Organ Music Store before full-time employment as a Bell Telephone operator, then as an office manager for a General Surgeon. Married in 1953, she worked as a receptionist in the Minneapolis War Memorial Blood Bank while her husband was in medical school. She set up and managed the office of a Duluth physician during the year of her husband's medical internship. Her son was born the next year while her husband served at the United States Public Health Service Indian Hospital in Rosebud, South Dakota and she mothered her family for the four years of her husband's specialty and sub-specialty training in Seattle, Washington. During the ensuing ten years in New Orleans, Louisiana, her family life was blessed by the arrival of a daughter. Church-related service and activities were always a prominent part of life, continuing through four years in Morgantown, West Virginia and the succeeding years in Clarks Summit. In Clarks Summit since 1978, she was the bookkeeper for her husband's medical practice until his retirement in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dale D. Lindholm, M.D.; her parents and seven of her nine siblings.
