Donald Kozlosky, 99, passed away at Willowbrook Place assisted-living center on Sunday, May 3, 2026.  He was the son of the late Frank and Veronica (Bennett) Kozlosky.

Born in Scranton October 24, 1926, Don spent his early years in North Scranton before moving to Dickson City.  At the outbreak of World War II, he dropped out of high school and enlisted in the Navy.  Deployed to the Pacific theatre, he served aboard the U.S.S. Taluga and was later stationed in Tokyo after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

After being honorably discharged, Don returned to Pennsylvania and in 1951 married his beloved wife, Pearl (Patchofsky), in St. Mary's Cathedral, Dickson City.  Subsequently he and Pearl moved to Rockaway, NJ, where Don obtained a GED and began working as a civil servant at Picatinny Arsenal, now the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center.  Upon his retirement, he continued to work for several years with Warnock-Ryan Dodge in Livingston, NJ.

Don especially enjoyed travelling with his wife, travel that included trips to England, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Italy, France and Gibraltar, not to mention Hawaii and various Caribbean islands.  Those travels ended with his wife's death in 1999 and, after living in Rockaway for over 40 years, Don returned to Pennsylvania, residing in Peckville until he became a resident of Willowbrook Place in 2023.

Don is survived by a son, Donald, and his wife, Jane, Clarks Summit.  He is further survived by two step-granddaughters, Meghan Williams (Joe Misnik), Randolph, NJ, and Rachel Williams, PhD, (David Arnett), South Bend, IN.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Clara (Matylewicz) Kozlosky, and by several nieces and one nephew.

Don was preceded in death by his dear wife, Pearl, by a brother, Francis, and sister-in-law, Irene, and by another brother, David.

Don was very health conscious and lived a healthy lifestyle.  He enjoyed wholesome food and relished a couple glasses of red wine every day. His son and daughter-in-law would like to extend their thanks to the kind and conscientious staff at Willowbrook Place.

Final arrangements are private and under the care of Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, Clarks Summit.
