Donna Caldwell

Donna Jean Caldwell, 80, of Tunkhannock died on July 2, 2023 in Clarks Summit following a lengthy illness.

Donna was born in Scranton on March 30, 1943 to the late Lois S. Smith and William H. Mitteer.

She grew up at Lake Winola and was a graduate of Falls-Overfield High School. She married the late, Arthur C. Caldwell II on July 1, 1960 and together they raised three children.

Donna was an avid reader, loved to collect and refinish furniture and collectibles, attend auctions and yard sales, garden, sew and fish. She and her husband Arthur enjoyed traveling, especially to NC. Donna and daughter Marcy ran an antique store in Tunkhannock in the early 1990's which she really enjoyed.

She is survived by her children, Marcella Rau and husband Robert of Maiden, NC, Arthur Caldwell III and wife Theresa of Wilmington, NC, and Desiree House and husband Charles of Tunkhannock; two grandchildren, Holly Jarrett and husband Taner, Corey Rau and wife Barbara of NC; great-grandchildren, Colton, Avis and Kyler Jarrett; sisters and brothers, Marilyn Pratt, Moosic, David Bedell, NJ, Gilbert Camp, VA, Bonnie Rosiak, Fleetville, Gary Mitteer, Dalton and Ronnie Mitteer; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Tyler Robinson.

The family would like to thank all who made Donna's life easier over the past year, including the staff at The Pines Senior Living, her doctors Patrick Murray, Kenneth Sebastianelli, and GlennFinney and Allied Hospice. She had a great support system including her children and cousin, Debra Trauger.

Per Donna's request, there will be no services.
