Donna Lofgren, 75, of Clarks Summit, died at Regional Hospital of Scranton on Monday, October 14th. She was the wife of John R. Muenster.

Born in Clarks Summit, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Ann Kolmansberger Piazza. She attended Connecticut College before receiving her Master of Arts from Tufts University, and her doctorate from Brown University. She did her postdoctoral training at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical School before serving as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She was a member of the staff at world renowned McLean Hospital, a psychiatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical, followed by a long career in private practice.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Erik Lofgren of Boston, Massachusetts; brothers Vince, Michael, and Ricky Piazza; sisters Debbie Piazza and Linday Murray; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Pip.

A private family gathering was held in honor of her memory.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
