Donna Marie Rosenkrans DelPrete, 59, of Newton Township, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday morning. She was married to Michael DelPrete, the love of her life, for 39 years. The couple had been together for 45 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of Gennine Rosenkrans of Newton Township and the late Donald Rosenkrans. She was a 1981 graduate of Abington Heights High School and worked in the Accounts Receivable department of North End Electric. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows parish. Donna was a beloved member of the 23 V's (a group of friends who do volunteer work each month in the community) and also enjoyed Birthday Club and Girls' Weekends. She was constantly on the go, had endless friends, and was always the life of the party, even if she didn't know it. She enjoyed getting good deals at yard sales and making the best sauce and meatballs. Donna always had a camera in her hands and was known as the family photographer. She was well-loved and will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. The next time you see a beautiful sunset, it's Donna sending her loved ones a picture of heaven.
Surviving are two sons, Dominick DelPrete and Phillip DelPrete and his wife LeeAnn; a daughter, Brianna DelPrete; grandchildren Addison, Aria, Dahlia, Remy, and Leo DelPrete; a brother, Thomas Rosenkrans; a sister, Lisa Bewighouse and her husband Robert; one niece; six nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ben and Leann Lenceski; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Paul and Andrene DelPrete; cousins, Nick, Neil, and Margaret Malatesta, who were like her siblings; and Archie, their beloved Golden Retriever.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Jean DelPrete.
