Doreen Dunn

Doreen Dunn, 95, of Dalton, died on Wednesday. Warren H. Dunn, her husband of over 66 years, preceded her in death in 2015.

Born in Glenburn, she was the daughter of the late George Carpenter and Eleanor Sickler Blackmore. She was a 1947 graduate of Keystone College and, prior to retirement, worked as a manager at First National Bank of Carbondale – Dalton Branch. Doreen enjoyed traveling, sewing, and was a member of the Ugly Quilters. She was also a member of the Dalton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are a son, Jim Dunn of Hunlock Creek; daughter Kay O'Connor and her husband Marty of Waverly; grandchildren Stephen O'Connor and wife Meghan, Michael O'Connor, Jason Dunn and wife Amy, and Cody Dunn; great grandchildren Lila, Michael Jr., Vivian, Aiden, Ollie, Jade, Maeve, Siobhan, and Kady; brother Arthur Carpenter and wife Rosa Mae of New York; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brothers Harold, Calvin, and George Carpenter; and sisters Virginia Churchill and Margaret Schlesser.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
