Dorothy Husband

Dorothy Husband, 91, of White Mills formally of Centermoreland passed away on May 4, 2022 at Aventura at Creekside, Carbondale. She was preceded in death by her husband Carleton Husband in 1971. Born in Centermoreland on January 22, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elgie Goble Ferris. She was a member of the Veron Community Baptist Church Dorothy or otherwise known as the “Pennsylvania Yodeler” she was a member of the Blue Ridge Mountain Band and the famous “Dottie” of Dottie’s Variety of Mehoopany. She is survived by her son, Herbert Husband of White Mills; daughter, Judy Rusinko of Centermoreland; sister, Kathrine Stills of Levittown; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by son, Jack Husband and wife Regina; son-in-law Nick Rusinko. Family and friends are invited to attend Dorothy’s graveside service which will be held on Monday May 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Centermoreland.
