Edward George Schlesser, formerly of Lake Winola, passed away on Sept. 5, 2023 at his residence in Warminster, Pennsylvania.
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania he was the son of his late parents Edward C. Schlesser and Theresa Schlesser, having one sister, the late Linda Miller. Ed was a 1959 graduate of Central Scranton High School, then graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. In applying his education, he worked as a retail store manager for nearly 30 years and was also employed as a bus driver for Tunkhannock High School towards the end of his working career. He was employed in such places as the Grant Retail Store Company, the Globe as well as Sugarman's, being well-known in the community.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann and three children, Edward (Chip) Schlesser and Melanie of Lebanon, Chad Schlesser and his wife Kim of Dunmore, and Patti Moxen and companion George Hicks of Myrtle Beach; and stepchildren Kimberlee Victoria and husband Jake of Warminster and Colleen Winters of Lake Winola; also blessed with sixteen grandchildren.
Family and friends may call for visitation at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, Pa. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m., which will be followed by a religious service at 11 a.m. conducted by Pastor Robin Fillmore from the Lake Winola United Methodist Church. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
