Listen to Obituary

Elaine Luchko, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday under the compassionate care of Serenity Hospice while residing at Scranton Healthcare.

Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, Elaine lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family.

She and her beloved husband, the late John Luchko, raised their three daughters in Bucks County where they created a loving home filled with joy and resilience.

Elaine is survived by her daughters: Denette Dixon of Scott Township; Denise Daubert (husband Marc) of Fallsington; and Darlene Cini of Levittown.

She was a devoted grandmother to Tiffany Ludlow (husband Jeff), Ken Cini and Michael Cini of Levittown.

She also leaves behind her loved great-granddaughter, Isabella Ludlow.

Elaine will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, silliness and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She had a remarkable ability to light up a room and made friends wherever she went. The sun shines a little less brightly with her passing, but her memory will continue to warm the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

"Gloom fills the sky for a brief second in time, tears fill a room where happiness grew. But when the sadness fades, the good memories appear, and a smile returns."

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.

Elaine left this to share with everyone:

To all my friends and family, I want to say something to all of you who have been part of the fabric of my life. The color and texture you have brought into my being has become a song, and I wish I could have sung it forever.

There is an energy in us which makes things happen; When the path of another person touches ours, we have to be there to let it happen. When the time of our sunset comes, our things—our accomplishments—won't really matter a great deal. But the clarity and care with which we have loved others will speak with vitality of the great gift of life we have been for each other. Love, Elaine
