Elizabeth Mae Britton, 83, of Dalton died at her home on Monday morning. She was the wife of Roy Britton. The couple have been married 63 years.
Born in Clarks Summit, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Wright Bostodo. Earlier, she was employed as a switch board operator at Commonwealth Telephone and worked at the A&P Supermarket in Clarks Summit. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish and enjoyed camping. She was a wonderful wife and mother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Roy T. Britton of Dalton; daughter Heidi Ann Ferguson and her husband Gerry of Harrisburg; and grandchildren Abby and Joseph Ferguson of Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Rex William Britton; and sisters Donna Mitchell, Margaret Balko, Jane Odell, and Ceil Ignotovich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 South State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn, pastor. Interment will follow at Clarks Green Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Clarks Summit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit.
