Elizabeth Jane Harvey

Elizabeth Jane Harvey 78, of Tunkhannock succumbed to a long term illness Friday February 28, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born in Binghamton, NY on June 8, 1935 daughter of the late Ray Pratt and Margarite Rugg Gleason. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Merle R. Harvey. Also sister-in-law Joyce Vought, of Owego, NY, her children Timothy L. and wife Ruth, of Elmira NY, David L. and wife Tammy, of Greenville, SC, daughter Karen E. Harris, of Tunkhannock, grandchildren Sean (Nannette), Nathaniel, Brianna, Lindsey, John Zachary and Evan and great grandchildren Violet and Jude. She was a 1953 graduate of Waverly High School, Waverly, NY and graduated from Wilson Memorial School of Nursing where she received her RN in Nursing. Elizabeth concluded her career at Tioga Nursing Facility as the Director of Nursing. Elizabeth enjoyed flower gardening, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday March 5th from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 West Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, PA. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola, PA.
