Evelyn Sherman

Evelyn Mae Sherman, 92, of Tunkhannock passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her home. Born in Kingston on April 30, 1930, the daughter of the late Thomas and Emorene Miller Smith.

Evelyn was a devoted mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved by all, Evelyn was a member of Evans Falls United Methodist Church, and in her spare time loved gardening, reading, and folk-art painting. She could not wait for the Freeze to open in the spring so that she could sneak a footlong hotdog and hot fudge sundae.

She is survived by her son; George Rogers and wife Lynn, daughters; Evelyn Dana and husband Walt, Margaret Sartor; grandchildren, Brett Rogers and wife Alyssa, Tyler and Blake Rogers, Brian Dana and wife Rachel, Torrie Sartor and wife Erica; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Brynn Dana.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nancy Lytle who, for over five years, was her caregiver and best friend as well as her other caregivers, Carol #1, Carol # 2, Rena, Shirley, Courtney, and Lori.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10:00 am with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00am with Pastor Tanya Olaviany, presiding, at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will follow in Orcutt's Grove Cemetery, Noxen.
