Florence Jenny Connelly, 71, died peacefully at her home at Chapman Lake on Nov. 16, 2022, after a long illness.

Daughter of the late Eugene and Ann Naughton Webb, Florence was born in Scranton, PA. Being raised in a military family, she lived in England and Hawaii for her childhood and resided in Scranton during her high school years where she attended Holy Rosary High School and graduated from South Catholic. She met the love of her life, husband, Patrick Connelly at the young age of 15. Patrick and Florence were best friends and he was a constant support and caregiver to her through the years. Florence was employed by the A & P and in later years was self-employed.

The three joys of her life are her children, Amy, wife of Scott Weinschenk, Scott Twp., Pa.; Patrick, husband to Jennifer Connelly, Boston, Mass.; and Mandy, wife of Steve Anspach, Pottstown, Pa. The three other joys of her life are her three grandchildren, Caden and Brody Anspach, and Tierney Connelly. Surviving are her loving brother, Michael Webb, Scranton, who was always there to put a smile on her face; and her sister-in-law, Maryann Garvey, Scranton, who she considered her best friend and confidant. Also surviving are sisters, Ann Webb, Pittston; and Jackie Lovallo, Scranton.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene Webb and Tommy Webb. Her love for her family was her foundation in life and she cherished every moment with them in some of her favorite places including LBI, Chapman Lake and Vermont.

Florence had a love of animals and cherished her beloved dog, Ellie. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends, aka the "Club Girls," who will miss her dearly.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Bayada Home Health Care, Sacred Heart, Fox Chase Cancer Center and her many doctors, especially Dr. Erin Mcfadden and Dr. Aman Ali, who have cared for her throughout the years.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 21, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. in St. Gregory's Church, Clarks Green. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. Family and friends may pay their respects at the church Monday afternoon from 1 p.m. until Mass.
