Frank "Uncle" Gorski died peacefully at home on Saturday.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School and St. Joseph's College. He served proudly in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. Following his service, he lived in California and Florida before settling in Clarks Summit in 1981 to be close to family. He worked for PP&L in the Sales Department and as a Meter Supervisor until retirement.

Frank loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and in his younger years, skier. Some of his favorite trips were to Yellowstone National Park where he participated in the Park's Fly Fishing Volunteer Program. He was also a talented craftsman and woodworker and built model ships and furniture, and also tied his own fishing flies.

Frank was known for his loud voice, big belly, and even bigger heart. He was grateful for everything he had in life, but most especially for the people, his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by mother Anna Ondik, father Frank Gorski, and stepmother Catherine Gorski. He leaves behind his brother Richard and wife Penny, sister Anne Sucheski and husband Michael. Uncle also leaves a legacy of nieces and nephews: Andrew Sucheski and wife Meghan, Diane Grodack and husband Rob, Felicia Pallman and husband Doug, Mark Gorski and wife Jennifer, Karen Lewis and husband Brian, Celia Astheimer and husband Scott.

Most precious to him were his grand nieces and nephews: Jake and Matthew Grodack, Anna and Evan Gorski, Hannah, Harper, Hadley and Hensley Pallman, Daniel Sucheski, Emerald and Michael Astheimer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment at Cathedral Cemetery will follow. No need to sit still during the service; Uncle never did.

Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. or Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
