Helen Wikoski

Helen L. Wikoski, 101, of Tunkhannock entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Edmund Wikoski in 2009.

Born on November 22, 1921 in Tunkhannock, she is the daughter of the late Alfred and Madeline (Klein) Dixon.

Helen had a strong faith in God and was a member of the Nativity BVM Church, Tunkhannock.

Helen enjoyed watching the polkas on channel 44, going to the Triton carnival for pizza and potato pancakes and to the local fairs with her sisters.

She enjoyed her many cats over the years, especially Morris and Whitey. In the last few years, she grew particularly fond of Timber, her goddaughter's (June) dog.

Helen's words of wisdom were: "Don't get old".

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Pauline, Betty, Frances; brother, Charles.

Family and friends are invited to attend Helen's Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00AM from Nativity BVM Church, 99 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. PA 18657 to be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Albert and Deacon Raymond Pieretti. Interment will follow in Pieta Catholic Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

A visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the time of mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the donor's choice.
