Henry Plushanski

Henry Plushanski, 97, of Tunkhannock passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at The Gardens, Scranton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Roller Plushanski in 2008.

Born in Glen Gardner, NJ on November 25, 1925, he was the son of the late Alexander and Teskla Sikorsky Plushanski.

He was a graduate of Hampton High School and married his wife, Lois June 18, 1948. He was a member of the Tunkhannock Presbyterian Church. Henry ran a farm in New Jersey with his three brothers, Alex, Fred and Charlie.

He worked for Annadle Breeders Association prior to his move to Tunkhannock in 1965. He began working for Sire Power until 1972 and then worked for Procter and Gamble for 19 years until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, farming, and cattle.

He is survived by his son, Gary Plushanski; daughters, Carol Garnecki and Dawn Risley; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by son, Robert Plushanski and 9 of his 12 siblings.

Family and friends are invited to attend Henry's funeral service which will be held on Wednesday May 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Mr. Richard Novack presiding. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
