Herbert Raymond Otto Jr., 85, of Nicholson died on Thursday, February 8th at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. He was the widower of Marion Harin Otto, who died in 2018. The couple had been married 56 years. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Otto.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Herb and Evelyn Otto. He was a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School and, prior to retirement, worked as a truck driver. A kid at heart, he spent his time drinking coffee, smoking his cigarettes, and tinkering with cars. He was the best older brother and a devoted truck driver. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were a great light in his life.

Surviving is a son, AndyMichael Otto of Scranton; granddaughters, Kirsty Nichole Otto and partner Johnny Corley of Oneonta, NY; Taylor Lynn Cooley and husband Kevin Cooley of Hanford, CA; Mikayla Rose Otto and fiancé Ronnie Traver of Harrington, DE; and Aleah Marie Otto of Scranton; and great grandchildren; Lenora Nichole Corley, Chandler Elliott Corley, Sophea Rose Corley, Karson Bascom Cooley, and Kameron Patrick Cooley.

Also surviving are sisters Carol Shotwell and Lynn Stonier of Nicholson; brother Howard and wife Connie of Fleetville; sister-in-law Carol Otto of Lithia Valley; brother-in-law John Harin of Scranton; sister-in-law Cynthia Wright and husband Harry of Gibbstown, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit.
