Jacalyn Krewson

March 24, 1947 — September 1, 2025

Jacalyn Sue Krewson, 78, of Dallas passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Clark Haven Krewson in 2017.

Born on March 24, 1947, in York, PA, she is the daughter of the late Samuel and Betty (Smith) Glessner.

A distinguished nursing professional, Jackie served as a director of nursing and nursing home administrator, where she was a pioneer in developing dementia care and transitional care units. Her early career included valuable experience in emergency room settings and pediatric care. In addition to her hands-on nursing roles, Jackie devoted time to nursing education and prescription marketing.

She loved God's word and initiated a Bible study in her community. Jackie's generous spirit was also evident in her support for missionaries and causes that help children. Throughout her life, Jackie was known for her caring and compassionate nature. She was a good friend and a good listener, always taking the time to provide comfort and support to those in need.

Her dedication to others stemmed from her childhood experiences; after the untimely death of her older brother, her parents provided foster care, which greatly influenced Jackie's empathetic approach to life. She maintained relationships with those her family cared for.

Among her proudest achievements was her role as an area coordinator for Operation Christmas Child, where she worked tirelessly to bring joy and hope to children in need.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Glessner, Jr.

As per Jacalyn's wishes, there will be no funeral services.

Arrangements and care entrusted to Marcho, Sheldon, and Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
