James T. Coburn, 77, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Debra (Alexander) Coburn.

Born on February 7, 1949, in Kingston, PA, he is the son of the late James H. and Ruth (Stacey) Coburn.

Throughout his career, James served with distinction as the director of operations for Middlesworth Potato Chips.

He enjoyed the tranquility of fly fishing and bass fishing, pursuits that allowed him to connect deeply with nature. As an avid hunter, he found joy in outdoor adventure. James was also a passionate collector of coins and stamps. His love for trains and model trains was another cherished pastime. Additionally, he was an avid NASCAR enthusiast.

Beyond his professional achievements, James was deeply involved in community organizations. He took great pride in his membership with the George M. Dallas Lodge No. 531 F. & A.M., where he was a respected Mason, and he was also active in the Moose Fraternity at Tunkhannock Lodge 1276.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Kelly Berecin, Kristy Coburn; son, James Coburn and wife Amy; grandchildren, Trevor Coburn, Shelby Taylor; great granddaughter, Lilly Taylor.

He is preceded in death by sister, Carol Fritsky Coburn.

As per James' wishes there will be no funeral services. Interment will be held in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas, PA.
